A west Roscommon hotel has closed.
Padraic Whelan has run the White House Hotel at Ballinlough since May of last year. He was renting the 18-room premises from owner Peter Kennedy, but Mr Whelan has confirmed it has ceased trading, with the loss of about five part-time jobs. He has thanked his customers for their loyal support.
On Tuesday's Bottom Line, Eoghan Murphy spoke to well-known local community activist Joe Malone about the news earlier – he says the closure is a close to the area.
