Longford's company insurance rises by 400 per cent

The revaluation of commercial rates countrywide has been of significant concern to many people in the Shannonside region recently.

Aidan Kelly, of Homecare Home Improvements in Newtownforbes, Co Longford, is claiming that ‘astronomical prices increases’ in the commercial-vehicle and fleet-insurance markets, is also a major concern to the SME sector.

He claims the insurance premium for his fleet is set to increase by 400 per cent this year.

He spoke to Eoghan Murphy, who first asked him if he’d been given a reason for the price-hike.
