In August, Panelto Foods was given planning permission to double its 50,000 square-foot premises in the Longford Business and Technology Park at the Ballinalee Road.
As part of the expansion plans, its workforce would increase from 150 to 260.
The planning process has now completed, with no appeal lodged with An Bord Pleanála within the permitted timeframe.
It’s understood Panelto, which produces sandwich breads, is now internally finalising its construction plans, with preliminary site works to begin in the coming weeks.
Eoghan Murphy spoke to local businessman and councillor Seamus Butler about the news and first asked him reaction.
