The tendering process is under way for the second phase of the food hub in Castlerea.
A total of €500,000 of state funding has been allocated for the entire project, called An Chistin. Phase one of the development began last year, with a professional cookery course ongoing in a food-training facility. The next stage involves incubation units for commercial kitchens, which will cost about €140,000.
On Tuesday's Bottom Line, Benny O'Connell, the chairman of Enterprise Castlerea, told Eoghan Murphy how the food hub has gone since it opened.
