Supermacs boss Pat McDonagh has lodged a planning application with Longford County Council for a service station, with a retail unit, food court and drive-through restaurant, in the Ballinalee Road, Longford town.
The plaza could create 100 jobs, and the local authority is due to make a decision on the planning application by the end of next month.
On Tuesday's Bottom Line, Eoghan Murphy spoke to McDonagh earlier, who revealed he also plans to develop a hotel in Longford.
