We've all been hearing recently of how this country will see a "staycation" bonanza over the coming months as people take their holidays and decide to use some cash they haven't really had much opportunity to spend lately.

Last summer's good weather saw people out and about in parts of Ireland they possibly had never visited before, and the hospitality sector is desperately  hoping that this might happen again.

The news this week from the government though seemed to paint a slightly different picture, with talk of eating and drinking in the great outdoors, rather than any aspiration apparently to facilitate a return to indoor dining which was allowed last year.

Andrew Reynolds from Rooskey who's involving in the catering/dining sector, and Brian Reneghan who runs a pub in Monaghan joined Joe Finnegan this morning to talk abut the mood and hopes as the tourism season approaches.
