Meadhbh McGivern from Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, made national headlines in 2011 over a transport debacle when her family were unable to get urgent transport to fly her to the UK for the liver transplant.
At 14 years of age and just two months later she received the organ at Kings Hospital in London.
A HIQA report found a series of failures led to her missing out on a transplant.

She's now a 21 year old student at NUI Maynooth and tells us she ''wouldn't be here (today) without my donor''
