Agriculture Minister Michael Creed claimed this morning that no factories will be in line to benefit from the €100m beef aid package that has been announced - even if they have lost out in prices. Speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, Minister Creed said the aid package was for farmers not for factories.
He also explained the growing risk of African Swine Fever and the threat is poses to the pig sector - the capital of which is Cavan and Monaghan here in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region.
