Former HSE boss Paul Reid will chair the Citizen's Assembly on Drugs Use.
He served as CEO of the health service during the pandemic, before stepping down last year.
The Assembly is due to start meeting from April 14th, and will consist of Mr. Reid and 99 ordinary citizens discussing current and potential future policies.
