Minister Heather Humphreys will not contest the next General Election.
She has served in various cabinet positions since 2014 and since 2020 the Fine Gael TD has held the roles of Minister for Rural and Community Affairs and also the Minister for Social Protection.
In a statement the Local Minister said Politicians are human too; she said that time catches up on us all.
