Last night an RTÉ Prime Time Investigates programme featured an exposé of a school in Ballaghaderreen, west Roscommon.
It found that St Nathy's College overclaimed on food grants to the tune of €646,000, based on inflated pupil numbers.
A repayment agreement was made with the Department of Social Protection for €294,000 to be reimbursed by the school, almost all of which has been paid.
There was no prosecution because of 'insufficient evidence'.
Kevin Hennigan, the new chairman of the school’s board of management, reacted to the documentary on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning.
