The Government unveiled a new autism strategy this week. It contains over 80 ‘clear actions’ . The timeline for the proposed implementation is 18 months. It comes as there are serious deficiencies in autism care right across the country, including in the Shannonside Northern Sound region. Eoghan Murphy visited Kevin O’Sullivan at home in Ballinagare, Co Roscommon. There he spoke to him about his 18-year-old son, Sean, who has autism and is non-verbal.
