In Farmleigh House on Friday the National Bravery Awards took place and Ceann Comhairle Sean OFearghail said ‘the Irish State were recognising and celebrating the noblest impulse in a human being, the impulse to risk our lives in order to save someone else’s.
One of the people he was referring to was A young Tulsk man is being hailed as a hero after dramatically saving the life of his grandfather following a near fatal incident on Killina Lake, Killynagh Beg, near Tulsk in September 2021.
Grandfather Sean Stroker and Grandson 13 Year old Callum Clarke who received a silver medal spoke to Joe Finnegan on Monday morning's show.
