In October last year the Road Safety Authority published figures that showed between 2014 and 2019 there were 60 people injured in collisions involving a quad bike or a scrambler on a public road and of those killed or injured over 40 per cent were under 18 years of age.
Dr Keith Synnott is a consultant at the National Spinal Injuries Unit in the Mater Hospital and he spoke to the Joe Finnegan show about the dangers of quad bikes.go-karts and scramblers.
