While traditionally, it is male family members who carry the coffin of the deceased on their last journey, undertaker Colm Kieran, who is based in Kingscourt says that female members also want to play their part and do the same.
According to Mr Kieran, he has witnessed a change in the roles which women want to play over the last ten years, and as a funeral director it's his role to present "all of the options" to families.
Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show along with Film Producer and Writer Corina Charles, Colm believes it's 'important' for everyone to be involved in the ceremony.
