The Gaelic Players Association are currently running roadshows to promote the tiered hurling competitions-The Joe McDonagh Cup, The Christy Ring Cup, The Nicky Rackard Cup and The Lory Meagher Cup.
They are bringing competitors to the homeplace of the person the trophies are named after.
During the week- hurlers form Leitrim, Cavan, Fermanagh and Lancashire went to Tullaroan in Kilkenny-the birth place of Lory Meagher.
Leitrim hurler David McGovern spoke to Kevin McDermott about life as a hurler with a development county,the committed needed and the importance of the tiered competitions.
