The Roscommon hurlers missed out on a league final appearance after losing 1-22 to 0-20 to Armagh in the division 3A semi-final at Dr. Hyde Park.
Armagh made an explosive start hitting five points in as many minutes before three points from Daniel Glynn helped to restore parity on 13 minutes.
Roscommon’s hopes were dealt a major blow on 22 minutes when captain Padraig Kelly was sent off but the hosts still led 0-13 to 0-10 at the break.
Armagh drew level within five minutes of the restart but seven minutes later the visitors were down to 14 players when Odhran Curry was shown a red card.
Three more points from Glynn helped maintain parity on 56 minutes but five minutes later the Rossies were down to 13 men when Darren Fallon was sent off.
Armagh moved five points clear with as many minutes remaining when Shea Harvey found the net and the visitors held on to win by the same margin.
