The F-A-I has endorsed Sligo Rovers plans to redevelop the existing stadium at the Showgrounds. The Bit of Red who are currently 3rd in the Premier Division table, have published plans that include turning their home into a six-thousand seater stadium. The club - where current Irish captain Seamus Coleman played for three seasons - also plan to build an academy complex. An estimated cost of the project is 17.3 million euro and project and club chairman Tommy Higgins believes it can get underway soon
