The 16 teams which will contest the All-Ireland football championship are now known after the provincial final line-up’s where confirmed.
The draw for the All-Ireland group stages and Tailteann Cup will take place this Tuesday May second at 1pm.
The four provincial finalists are;
Connacht: Galway v Sligo
Leinster: Dublin v Louth
Munster: Kerry v Clare
Ulster: Armagh v Derry
Those eight teams will be seeded in pot one and two and marked as provincial winner and provincial runner-up.
The remaining eight teams are the next seven teams per their Allianz League rankings. The eighth team is Westmeath who qualify as 2022 Tailteann Cup winners.
Those eight teams are divided into pot three and pot four
Pot Three: Mayo, Roscommon, Tyrone, Monaghan
Pot Four: Donegal, Cork, Kildare, Westmeath
A team from each pot will be drawn into each group. Competing provincial finalists cannot meet each other in this stage. E.g. Derry and Armagh cannot be drawn into the same group.
Each team will have a home fixture, an away fixture and one game in a neutral venue.
The winner of each group will progress to the quarter-final with teams finishing second and third progressing to a pre-quarter-final round.
The group stage of the championship gets under way on May 20th.
Tailteann Cup
The Tailteann Cup seeding has also been announced. The Tailteann cup draw is set to take place on Tuesday after the All-Ireland championship draw.
Seed One: Meath, Cavan, Fermanagh, Limerick
Seed Two: Down, Offaly, Antrim, Wicklow
Seed Three: Longford, Tipperary, Laois, Wexford
Seed Four: Leitrim, Carlow, Waterford, London
A team from each pot will be drawn into each group. Each team will have a home fixture, an away fixture and one game in a neutral venue.
The winner of each group will progress to the quarter-final with teams finishing second progressing to the pre-quarter-finals.
The three best placed third placed teams will also progress to the pre-quarter-finals with New York taking the final place in the pre-quarter-finals.
The Tailteann Cup group games get underway on May 13.
