The competition enters round 5 this weekend

The Allianz National Football league moves into the 5th round this coming weekend with still plenty to play for across all 4 divisions. Galway currently top the Division 1 table on 7 points following 3 wins and a draw. Dublin and Donegal sit in 2nd and 3rd spot on 6 points with Kerry on 4. Armagh have 3 points along with Mayo while Tyrone are in 7th place on 2 points. The defending league champions Derry are propping up the table on 1 point and are in real danger of been relegated.

Division 2 has Monaghan, Meath and Roscommon all on 6 points with the Farney side holding top spot on score difference ahead of the Royal county. The Rossies suffered their first defeat of the campaign at the hands of Meath on Sunday past and now face a tough trip away to Cork in Round 5. Manager Davy Burke noted that it maybe time to freshen things up with the team selection

Cork, Louth and Cavan are on 4 points with Down on 2 and Westmeath still awaiting their first points.

Division 3 is a little more straight forward as Kildare are top on 8 points with 4 wins from 4 and are on course for an immediate return to Division 2. Offaly are in 2nd place on 6 points with Laois, Clare, Antrim and Fermanagh all on 4. Sligo and Leitrim are still awaiting their first points as they sit in 7th and 8th place. Clare and Sligo have a game outstanding in that group as their weekend fixture was postponed.

Wexford who also have a game in hand are top of Division 4 on 6 points with Limerick and Tipperary on 5 points. Wicklow are on 4 points but have that fixture against Wexford to look forward too after it was also cancelled at the weekend. London sit in 5th place on 4 points with Carlow on 3 while Longford picked up their first win with a victory over Waterford who are bottom of the table
