Aoife O'Rourke has bowed out of the Olympics following defeat to Poland's Elzbieta Wojcik.
The Castlerea boxer lost out on a 3-2 split decision and misses out on a place in the middleweight quarter-finals.
Wojcik was lucky not to be deduced more than one point following a series of warnings from the referee.
The Polish fighter was deducted a point for holding in the first round. She continued to repeat the same foul but wasn't penalised again.
Overall, O’Rourke appeared to land the cleaner punches and can consider herself quite unlucky.
Just four Irish boxers are still standing. Jack Marley and Kellie Harrington are the only winners so far, the latter is guaranteed at least a bronze medal.
Indeed Daina Moorehouse and Michaela Walsh are yet to open their respective campaigns. Both are in action later this week.
