Armagh and Galway have made a joint request to move their football championship group game to Croke Park from Carrick-on-Shannon.
The game has been fixed for Avant Money Páirc Sean Mác Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday June 18. The Leitrim venue only holds a maximum capacity of 9,331.
Armagh and Galway are seeking a larger venue. Over 35,000 fans attended, last year’s All-Ireland quarter-final between the sides.
As such, Armagh and Galway have made a joint request to the CCCC to move their fixture to Croke Park.
If Galway can once again see off Armagh, they’ll make their way to the quarter-finals of this year’s championship.
While, Armagh are mostly likely going to make the preliminary quarter-finals, depending on the other results in the group.
If Armagh win and Tyrone beat Westmeath, the top three, will be tied on four points and score difference will come into play to decide their fate.
