Boyle and Oran sealed their place in the Hudson Bay Hotel Roscommon SFC quarter-final with final day group victories.
Boyle sealed top spot in group B with a 1-13 to 2-7 win over Elphin, ensuring Elphin must face the relegation play-off’s. Roscommon Gales secured third place with a 3-4 to 1-8 win over Michael Glavey’s.
In group C Oran secured top spot with a straight forward 1-14 to 1-8 win over Tulsk. Elsewhere St Brigids crushed St Croans 1-18 to six points. That victory secured Brigids second place.
The quarter-final play-off draw threw up Padraig Pearses versus Tulsk Lord Edwards. The winners progress to the quarter-finals. Roscommon Gaels received a bye to the last eight.
St Brigids were awarded seed status in the quarter-final draw with group winners Clann na Gael, Boyle and Oran. Strokestown, Michael Glavey’s, Roscommon Gaels and the play-off winners will be unseeded.
The relegation play-off will see Western Gaels meet Elphin. The Losers will face St Croans with the losers of that game relegated to intermediate for 2022.
The play-off games are set for the weekending September 19.
