Boyle setup a return to the Roscommon SFC final with a one point win over Padraig Pearses.
In a tight semi-final, where nothing was given away, Boyle prevailed 1-7 to 0-9 winners at Dr Hyde Park.
Boyle led 1-2 to three points at half-time. With, Cian McKeon’s early goal ended up being a crucial score on the day.
While, Jack Tumelty, Lorcan Daly and Eoin Colleran were on the scoresheet for Pearses as they trailed by two at the break.
However, Pearses stormed back in the second-half. Three Paul Carey frees and three frees from Eoin Colleran saw Pearses move 0-9 to 1-5 ahead.
Whereas, up stepped Donie Smith to land two late frees and fire Boyle back into their second decider in succession.
Boyle will now meet St. Brigid’s in the county final on Sunday, October 22nd, at Dr. Hyde Park.
