Carlow led by two points at half-time, six points to four points. Darragh Rooney opened the scoring for Leitrim with five minutes on the clock.
Paddy McDonnell equalised as the game went end-to-end. Rooney and Colm Hulton exchanging points. Ryan O’Rourke put Leitrim ahead on 13 minutes. Whereas, Josh Moore levelled the game up.
Darragh Foley put Carlow ahead on 25 minutes. A Darragh Rooney free was Leitrim’s last of the half as Carlow led six points to four at half-time.
