Carrickedmond will have their appeal to “the phantom point” heard by the Leinster council tomorrow morning.
Shannonside Sport understands, the Leinster council had scheduled the hearing for Monday evening September 16th. However, Carrickedmond have now been successful in their request to have the hearing brought forward.
Mullinalaghta won their objection to their drawn game with Carrickedmond in “the phantom point” case last Friday night. A counter appeal by Carrickedmond was also heard on the night.
The result means Carrickedmond lost their place in the knockout round and will instead face Longford Slashers in the relegation playoffs.
However, The Longford CCC are sticking to their scheduled revised quarter-finals at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park this weekend.
