Adam McDermott last gasp point secured the Roscommon intermediate title for Castlerea St. Kevin’s on a dramatic afternoon.
Castlerea scoring a one point victory over Eire Og 1-13 to 15 points, in a game which went right to the wire.
Eire Og had let by three points at half-time, 10 points to 1-4. Two Conor Cox points (1f) and one from Liam Creaton putting Eire Og three to nil up after six minutes.
Aaron and Darren McDermott pulled Castlerea back into the game with a point each. Joe Hester and Tom Green restored Eire Og’s three point lead.
Conor Cox made it seven points to three on 18 minutes. Three minutes later Castlerea were right back in it when Jonathan Hestor flicked a high ball into the net. Donal Brennan levelled the game three minutes later.
A point from Joe Hestor and two frees from Conor Cox saw Eire Og lead 10 points to 1-4 at half-time.

Adam McDermott opened the second-half with a Castlerea point. However, Liam Creaton and another Cox free moved Eire Og four points clear.
Darren and Adam McDermott made it a two point game. Jamesie Greene restored Eire Og’s three-point advantage 10 minutes into the second-half.
Conor Cox added another from play, before Adam McDermott converted three points in-a-row to make it a one point game with 10 minutes remaining.
Nathan Bligh levelled the game, 1-11 to 0-14 eight minutes from time.
Conor Cox seemed to have given Eire Og victory with his eighth point of the day. Converting a free a minute from time. However, there was plenty of time for drama with five minutes of injury time.
Adam McDermott converted a free two minutes into before McDermott kicked his eighth point of the day to win the championship in the fifth minute of injury time.
