Athleague laid a solid foundation for the victory in the first half.

Athleague bowed out of the All-Ireland junior club camogie championship at the semi-final stages after losing 1-11 to 0-6 to Clanmaurice at Fr.McNamara park in Ennis.

A Laura Collins goal helped Clanmaurice to a 1-6 to 0-2 lead at the half-time break while Rachel Fitzmaurice and Tara Naughton were on target for Athleague.

Clanmaurice outscored the Roscommon champions five points to four in the second half as they held on for an eight-point victory in the end.
