Clann na nGael will face Padraig Pearses in the Roscommon SFC final after Liam Kearns’ men defeated Roscommon Gaels at Dr. Hyde Park today.
The game was evenly contested throughout as Clann na nGael led 0-8 to 0-6 at the half-time break before eventually winning 0-14 to 0-10.
Mark Purcell opened the scoring for Roscommon Gaels inside the first minute before Clann na nGael moved a point clear two minutes later.
Kieran Kilcline subsequently restored parity on five minutes, before the sides traded two points each making it a level game at the first water break.
Mark Healy levelled matters again on 23 minutes before points from Cian McManus and Ciaran Lennon gave Clann na nGael a two-point buffer at half-time.`
The sides cancelled each other out during the third quarter before points from Mark Purcell and Brian Kelly left a single point between them with seven minutes left.
Clann na nGael responded with two unanswered points from Ciaran Lennon and one from Ultan Harney which saw them through to the final.
