Clonguish registered their first victory in the Longford SFC with a big 15 point win over Dromard.
The win moves Clonguish into the mix for a place in the quarter-final of the longford championship with three points.
Matthew Carey starred for Clonguish with a number of points in a very strong performance from Liam Belton’s men. Clonguish scoring a 2-17 to 2-2 victory.
Elsewhere, Longford Slashers scored a 10 points to seven victory over Mullinalaghta while Abbeylara and Carrickedmond drew 11 points to 1-8.
The results mean Abbeylara top group B with one game remaining with six points from four games. Longford Slashers, Carrickedmond and Mullinalaghta have four points each.
Whereas, Clonguish occupy fifth place with three points heading into the final round of games with Dromard sixth on three points.
Abbeylara have secured progress to the quarter-final with the remaining three places available.
