They will have to do it all over again as Abbeylara and Colmcille played out a Longford final draw.
Colmcille led by two points at half-time, 1-4 to five points. Abbeylara’s Caolan Lynch opened the scoring after seven minutes. However, Colmcille struck back with a goal.
Danger man Barry McKeon taking advantage of a scramble to rattle the ball home. Barry and Paul McKeon fired over points and Colmcille led by four after 13 minutes.
Abbeylara had the ball in the net on 16 minutes, however the whistle had already been blown for a free in. Ciaran Scanlon sent over the resulting free. Jack Macken responded with a Colmcille point.
Another Scanlon free and a Caolan Lynch point from play had Abbeylara trail 1-3 to 0-4 after 22 minutes. Robbie Smyth converted a 24th minute free to make it a one point game.
However, an important Jack Macken point sent Colmcille in two points ahead at half-time. 1-4 to 0-5.

Cathal McCabe fired over a much need Colmcille point two minutes later. A Barry McKeon free moved Colmcille back infront on three-quarter time.

Smyth levelled for Abbeylara with a free, only for Barry McKeon to restore the Colmcille lead with a free of his own 10 minutes from time. 1-7 to 0-9.
Smyth’s second free of the day had the sides level on 53 minutes. Indeed, Noel Farrel restored Colmcille’s lead with three minutes of normal timing remaining.
Cathal Reilly made it a two point game 1-9 to 0-10 as the clock struck 60 minutes.
Abbeylara needed a big man and up stepped their main man. A free and a point from play moving from Robbie Smyth sending the Longford final to a replay as the sides drew 1-9 to 0-12.
