Colmcille produced a crushing performance to beat Longford Slashers by 11 points and advance to the county final.
Slashers where quick out of the blocks. Points from Robbie Clarke and Peter Lynn putting them two ahead inside two minutes.
The game was extremely tight thereafter. Martin Mulligan, Eoin Harkin, Philip McKeon, Rory Hawkins and two from Cathal Reilly put Colmcille six points to four up at half-time.

The expected Slashers onslaught never arrived in the second-half. Instead it was Colmcille who powered ahead. Philip McKeon finding the game’s first goal on 39 minutes.
Rory Clarke’s 43rd minute with Slashers only point of the second-half. Tadgh McNevin’s black card and Darragh O’Brien’s red card saw Slashers finish with 13 men.
Colmcille added seven second-half points to win 1-13 to five points.
Colmcille will now play Mullinalaghta in the Longford senior football final on October nine.
