The Cork 20 international rally is the main focus this weekend as it is round 6 of the Tarmac championship which is currently been led by Josh Moffett and Andy Hayes in their Hyundai I20R5. With 2 wins on the opening rounds, the Monaghan driver added runner up spots in rounds 3 and 4, before taking a first victory at the Donegal international rally to give him a 27 point lead at the head of the championship as he looks to add the Tarmac title to his recently claimed National rally crown. Having won the event in 2021 it is Callum Devine in the Volkswagon Polo R5 that will be the number 1 seed for the weekend with Noel O Sullivan on the notes. Josh Moffett is at number 2 with Alastair Fisher and Gordon Noble at 3 also in Polo R5. James Stafford and Thomas Scallan are the top modified seeds in their Darian T90 at number 10. Taking place over Saturday and Sunday the rally will see the crews compete over 15 stages with 9 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. The Raddison Blue hotel at Little Island in Cork is headquarters for the event.
