Next Sunday’s Cup Final will see Premier Division side C.P Ajax and Division two winners Cloonfad meet at the League grounds, Lecarrow.
In the Semi Finals at Lecarrow on Sunday, Cloonfad beat last season’s finalists Moore United. Whereas, the Castleplunket side C.P Ajax beat fellow Premier side Shiven Rovers.
Cloonfad United were 2-0 up at half-time with goals from Dylan Connolly and Conor Flynn. Charles Nevin pulled a goal back for Moore United but Cloonfad held out for a deserved win.
C.P Ajax were comfortable 3-1 winners over a Shiven Rovers side who won the Cup two seasons ago.
Ajax were in front early, after a corner-kick was deflected into his own net by a Shiven defender.
Daniel Connolly made it 2-0 before half-time and added his second in the second-half. Keith Doyle pulled one back for the Newbridge side but with Ryan Larkin and David Coyne in top form Shiven never looked like making it to the final.
