It is been reported that Longford are in talks with Croke Park at the moment in regards to whether or not their final football league fixture with Cork will go ahead this Sunday.
Padraic Davie's sides loss to Derry, more or less ended their hopes of promotion from Division 3, while Cork have already claimed top spot and promotion by been unbeaten.
The Longford manager has questioned the need to play the fixture, which has been termed a "Dead Rubber".
A decision on whether the game will proceed is expected this afternoon.
