Roscommon full-forward Daire Cregg has voiced his frustration at the inconsistency of rules from third-level to intercounty football.
While counties prepare for the inaugural season under new football rules; this year's Sigerson Cup will follow the old rules.
Cregg is lining out for UCD this year, who get their campaign underway on Friday against UCC. Cregg has admitted it's been difficult to get to grips with the changes in the game.
“We don’t do that much training with the Sigerson team” Cregg explained. “We kind of meet up and team meetings and such. So it’s very difficult to get 35 lads out on the pitch together”.
“So we very much have to just see how it goes with the old rules” added Cregg.
Meanwhile Croke Park could potentially host this Saturday's All-Ireland Club Senior Football semi-finals.
The last-four clash between Dr. Crokes and Errigal Ciaran was moved from O'Moore Park to St. Conleth's Park yesterday, as the cold snap continues to play havoc with fixtures.
Whereas, Cuala and Coolera Strandhill are set to meet in Cavan in the other semi-final.
With the GAA determined to get both semis played this weekend ahead of next week's All-Ireland finals, it's understood that Croke Park is on standby should Newbridge or Kingspan Breffni be deemed unplayable.
