The 2nd closed road rally of the year will take place this Sunday (Oct 3rd) in Donegal with the Harvest Rally. Based out of the Abbey Hotel in Donegal town, the event will see the continued return of rallying to Irish roads following its postponement in March of 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Fresh from their victory at the Cork 20 rally 2 weeks ago, Callum Devine with Brian Hoy on the notes are the number 1 seeds in their Ford Fiesta R5 with Donagh Kelly and Kevin Flanagan at 2 in their Volkswagon Polo R5. Josh Moffett and Andy Hayes complete the top 3 in the Hyundai I20 R5. Niall Maguire with Conor Foley in the passenger seat will lead of the WRC contingent at 10 in their Subaru Impreza, while Stuart Darcy and Darragh Mullen are the leading modifed crew at 17 in the Proton. The modified class is also expected to see the former Junior WRC driver and 2014 British Rally champion Daniel Mc Kenna make a return in his Mark 2 escort.with Andrew Grennan alongside him. Speaking on the Krunching Gears podcast, Daniel remarked he would be using the event to try out some new developments on the car
The crews will compete over 2 stages 3 times in and around the Donegal town area.
