Both men's and women's teams failed to qualify for the final however.

Both Ireland’s men’s and women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay teams secured sixth place in their heats and eleventh overall in new Irish records.

Longford’s Darragh Greene (Breaststroke) was joined on the men's team by Conor Ferguson (Backstroke),  Max McCusker (Butterfly) and Shane Ryan (Freestyle).

The quartet finished sixth in their heat in a time of 3:33.81 seconds, a new Irish record. However, it wasn’t enough to make the final.
