Longford Town booked their place in the promotion final of the League of Ireland First Division following a 3-2 win away to UCD after extra time.
Town came from behind twice before a stunning strike from Dean Byrne in the dying stages saw the visitors emerge victorious.
UCD opened the scoring after Colm Whelan headed home from a set piece in the 18th minute.
The hosts could have doubled their advantage ten minutes before half-time as UCD scored from a free kick only for it to be flagged offside.
Karl Chambers almost levelled the game for Town just before half time only to see his effort sail over the crossbar from roughly 10 yards out leaving a goal between them at the interval.
Town were a rejuvenated side in the second half as Dylan Grimes and Joe Manley both came close to restoring parity.
Daire Doyle's men eventually got a deserved equaliser in the 90th minute as Joe Gorman scored from a corner.
No goals were scored in the first half of extra time which transpired to be the calm before the storm.
Yousef Mahdy restored the lead for UCD before Joe Gorman pulled another one back for Town three minutes later.
Town were holding out for a hero and up stepped Dean Byrne who won it with a stunning strike as late as the 122nd minute.
