Derek Frehill has announced that he is stepping down as manager of the Longford hurling team after two-years in charge.

Frehill's side also lost their division 3A status in 2021, while also failing to make the 2021 Lory Meagher cup final.
Longford GAA’s statement on twitter read; “Derek Frehill has announced that he is stepping down as Manager of the County Hurling Team”.
