Longford Town face another tough battle when they face Finn Harps in Finn park on Friday night as they look for a first win since March.
Town are routed to the bottom of the SSE Airtricity premier division after 17 games having collected just eight points and are now four point second from bottom Waterford.
“We are disappointed with that result against Waterford which puts a bit of distance between the two of us” explained Town boss Daire Doyle who returns to the dugout from suspension.
Doyle himself remains positive despite Longford’s ill’s, “we’ll be hopeful that we can take something from the game” declared Doyle.
“We are in position now were we need to pick-up the points and we’re in a position we don’t want to be”.
“We have a window coming up in July where we hope to add to our group that we have, if we are able to do that to add some quality to our group that would be a big positive”.
Doyle knows what to expect from the Finn Harps in Finn Park, “there a physical direct side, they’ve shaken it up a bit this season with their style, it’s going to be a tough game”.
