Dromard recorded a famous victory over Killoe to book a Longford semi-final meeting with Mullinalaghta.
Dromard were in excellent goal scoring form with Aaron Farrell and Oisin O’Toole both found the net in the first-half. Dromard also had two points from Farrell.
Killoe were two points adrift at half-time their first half points coming from Daniel Mimnagh 0-2, Mark Hughes (free) and Emaon Keogh. Dromard led 2-2 to 0-4 at half-time.
Farrell grabbed his second goal of the game three minutes into the second-half. Dromard taking advantage of Mickey Quinn’s black card five minutes before the break.
Dromard led 3-4 to four points on Quinn’s return. Mark Hughes (free) and Eugene Clarke brought Killoe immediately back into it.
However Dromard held firm. Ross McNerney and Francis McGee kicked important scores as Dromard won out by five, 3-7 to 11 points.
Dromard will now face defending champion St Columba’s Mullinalaghta in the semi-final.
