Dublin manager Dessie Farrell has been suspended for 12 weeks by Dublin county board.
The Irish independent revealed this morning that members of the Dublin team had been training outside at Innisfails GAA club, inter-county GAA teams are only allowed resume training from April 19.
A statement issued by Dublin county board advised of an immediate 12-week suspension for Dessie Farrell, meaning he will miss Dublin’s proposed Allianz League campaign expected to begin in May.
The suspension would also possible see Farrell suspended for the Leinster championship
The statement read; “Dublin GAA acknowledge that, following an investigation this afternoon, there was a breach of Covid-19 guidelines yesterday morning.
The County Management Committee have suspended Dublin Senior Football manager Dessie Farrell for 12 weeks with immediate effect.
The Dublin senior football management and players recognise that this was a serious error of judgement and apologise unreservedly for their actions”.
