St Dominics opened their Hudson Bay Hotel Roscommon SFC campaign with a two point victory over Michael Glaveys.
Two first-half goals helped Dominics on their way to victory having led 2-1 to 0-4 at half-time. Dominics going onto to win 2-6 to 0-10.

Elsewhere St Faithleachs scored an impressive five point victory over Western Gaels, to begin their campaign with victory.
Western Gaels were three points to the good before David Rooney opened Faithleachs account on five minutes.
Finbarr Gregg and Niall Higgins moved Gaels five points to one clear on 11 minutes. A David Rooney point from play and two Ciaran Murtagh frees made it a one point game on 17 minutes.
Finbarr Cregg and Murtagh exchanged points before another Murtagh free made it six points each at half-time.
Finbarr Cregg restored Gaels lead seven minutes after the restart. David Rooney equalised from play three minutes later.
Rooney put Faithleachs ahead on 43 minutes with Cathal Cregg equalising two minutes later. Mikey Dunne restored Faithleachs lead three minutes later, a lead they would never surrender.
Cian Glennon converted a mark with 10 minutes remaining to make it a two point game. Finbarr Cregg brought it back to a one point game four minutes later.
Two quick points from Ciaran and Diarmuid Murtagh made it 12 points to nine with four minutes on the clock.
Three minutes into additional time Kevin Higgins made gave Gaels hope with a point.
However, Cathal Gunn sealed victory replying with a goal almost immediately as St Faithleachs won out 1-12 to 0-10.
The Roscommon senior football championship continues on Saturday.
