Fenagh St. Cailins booked their place in the Leitrim SFC semi-finals after a low scoring win over Aughawillan.
Fenagh scored a nine points to eight victory in a tight low scoring affair. Fenagh having led four points to two at half-time.
Ryan O’Rourke opened the scoring after six minutes and added a second within a minute. Ciaran Gilheaney responded with an Aughawillan free.
O’Rourke and Gilheaney exchanged points making it three points to two on 17 minutes. Conor Daly landing the last score of the half, seven minutes from half-time. Fenagh four to two ahead.
Gary Plunkeet and another Gilheaney free had the scores level on 34 minutes. Donal Wrynn pushed Fenagh back ahead two minutes later.
A Morgan Quinn free and Pearce Dolan from play on 39 minutes had Aughawillan ahead for the first time. A Gilheaney free moved Aughawillan two clear on 43 minutes.
A Ryan O’Rourke free cut the deficit to one point with Daniel McLoughlin equalising nine minutes from time. A Morgan Quinn free on 54 minutes moved Aughawillan back in-front. However it was their last score of the game.
Another O’Rourke had the game level four minutes from time. Oisin McLoughlin sending over the winning score as the clock turned red.
