Fenagh St Caillins claimed their first win of the current Leitrim SFC campaign beating Gortletteragh 3-21 to 1-10 on home soil.
The hosts were nine points clear at the break before a dominant second-half display resulted in a convincing victory.
Gortletteragh settled quicker and led 0-2 to 0-1 on four minutes. Conor Dwyer’s goal five minutes later saw Fenagh gain the upper hand.
Riordan O’Rourke followed up with two points in as many minutes but Fenagh’s momentum was disrupted on 12 minutes.
Keoghan McGovern registered Gortletteragh’s opening goal. Suddenly, it was a one-point game with Fenagh leading 1-3 to 1-2.
Fenagh remained composed, however. The hosts opened up a seven-point lead on 19 minutes when Riordan O’Rourke found the net.
Four minutes later, Francie Flynn’s two pointed frees left four between them. Fenagh replied with five unanswered points to lead 2-10 to 1-4 at half-time.
Fenagh began the second half with urgency. The hosts registered four more points before Flynn opened Gortletteragh’s second-half account on 38 minutes.
Four minutes later, Riordan O’Rourke registered his second goal of the night as Fenagh opened up a 16-point gap.
O’Rourke pushed Fenagh 20 points clear five minutes from time. Gortletteragh accounted for four of the last five scores, but it was too late.
Elsewhere, Mohill fought back to secure a 2-13 to 1-13 over Glencar Manorhamiliton. A goal apiece from Ronan Kennedy and Keith Beirne saw Mohill to victory having led 2-6 to 1-8 at half-time.
Meanwhile, St Mary's Kiltoghert scored a big 3-12 to three point victory over Aughnasheelin. The victory moved St. Mary's top of the Connacht Gold Leitrim SFC table.
