Roscommon's Fiona Tully missed out on an All-Ireland handball ladies singles four-wall title after losing out to Catriona Casey.
Casey won the first game 21-10 and made an explosive start to the second game. The Cork Native opening up a 12-3 lead in the early stages.
Tully showed resilience to make it a one-point game (13-12), however Casey finished with a flourish and claimed her seventh national four-wall title.
Paul Brady suffered disappointment in the men’s singles final after injury forced him to concede the game to Robbie McCarthy.
Paul Brady was bidding for his 11th All-Ireland handball Senior Singles title and the Cavan man got off to a flying start. The Cavan native won his first game 21-16.
Brady subsequently led the second game 16-7 despite battling groin problems. However, the injury meant he couldn’t continue and had to concede the game.
Mullingar native McCarthy has won the title for the seventh time as a result.
