Irish Rugby football union have noted the passiing of former international Ray McLoughlin at the age of 82. The tighthead prop played 40 times for Ireland over a period of 14 seasons from 1962 to 1975 been captain on 8 occassions and was the first player from Connacht to feature on the Lions team where he played in three tests during the 1966 tour of Australia and New Zealand and was selected again in 1971 for the tour of New Zealand.
