Roscommon scored a dramatic 12-point victory over Leitrim in the Connacht minor championship finding four second-half goals.
Leitrim led with 12 minute remaining before two goals each from Niall Heneghan and Ruairi Kilcline saw Roscommon to victory.
The game was tit for tat until the 24th minute when Niall Heneghan found the Leitrim net. Heneghan registering 1-4 in the first-half.
Paul Honeyman registered six points for Leitrim in the opening period, Leitrim’s total in the half. Four of Honeyman’s scores coming from placed balls.
With Heneghan’s tally and a point each from John McGuinness and Lee Taylor, Roscommon led 1-6 to six points at half-time.
Leitrim blasted out of the traps Adam Gethins and James Gilheaney landing a point each before john Curran got Roscommon’s first score after the restart.
A point from Josh Maye and two free’s from Paul Honeyman moved Leitrim ahead by a point, 1-7 to 0-11 with 12 minutes remaining.
However Roscommon found another gear. John McGuinness levelled the game with a point and two goals each from Heneghan and Kilcline plus a Curran point did the damage to Leitrim.
Roscommon recorded their first win of the campaign 5-9 to 0-12.
