Fr. Manning Gaels bowed out of the Leinster intermediate championship, but there was success for Grattan Og in the junior championship.
The Drumlish outfit fell to Crettyard in Portlaoise 1-11 to 11 points to fall at the first hurdle in the Leinster intermediate championship. Whereas, Martin Cassidy top scored with seven points for Gaels, including five frees.
However, there was better news from Wexford where Grattan Og scored a 1-9 to seven point win over Craanford.
Grattan Og led 1-6 to four points at half-time. Grattans will be away again in the quarter-final against Ellistown, Kildare. That game is set for Saturday November ninth.
